Have you truly served?
Most of the time people think I have served God this week, I went to Church and helped bake the Sunday lunch or served the food or played some games and had some fun in the youth classes, but let me ask you this, have YOU truly served this week?
What I mean byn truly serving is to drop everything you are doing and listen to God’s calling. Have you went to the streets just out of the blue and preached the Gospel to a homeless person? Have you cooked a meal for a homeless person? Have you reached out to a neighbor and prayed with them not even knowing what their problem is, just praying because God has asked you to? Have you taken some days off work to go help those in disaster areas? Have you went to am elderly strangers house and asked them if there is anything you could do for them, like mow their lawn, clean their house, even do their dishes for them so they can relax that evening?
This, is what TRULY serving God is all about. What a lot of people don’t understand is that God has ALREADY called you to serve, that is YOUR person on this Planet, but many choose to ignore God’s calling, many choose to think they don’t have do major things in God’s glory to get into Heaven, maybe not, but how many Crowns will you earn? How many treasures are you storing up in Heaven?
I say with pride that I love to serve God every opportunity I can and I wish more opportunities would arise, even if I do my serving in different ways then others, we all have our calling. Mine is to serve God and give him 100% of the glory in Outreach Ministry, Disaster Relief and even through my Free Non Profit Web Hosting for Non Profit Orgs.
There is no way I will deny God’s calling and take a chance of burning in Hell (Oh No! He is going to preach some fire and brimstone now, time to go). It is about time someone told you to wake up, get off your butt and serve God as you were called to do. God does not say you can’t have a new car, new house, new clothes, but he does wonder what you are doing with the rest of your time, money and most of all your heart. If your heart is in material things and not on God, you will not see the Kingdom of Heaven, I guarantee it. The Bible tells us in Matthew 19:24 “And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God”. If you make $1000 a week why aren’t you giving minimum $100 of it to God? Do these things here on Earth mean more to you now then that the Mansion and Crowns you can have in Heaven? If so then I say wallow in your riches because that is all your going to get if you don’t change your ways.
Father, I pray for all those out there that have yet to submit to your calling and serve you blindly and faithfully. Father, I just ask that you open their eyes and let them see that they were made in your image and not made to look so much like the world. Father, I ask that you give me the strength and boldness to bring many to the Cross in your name. In Jesus name I pray….AMEN!!!
